Room Pricing – Rates quoted are for single or double occupancy – breakfast included. Our rooms can accommodate two people very comfortably, the larger rooms can accommodate three. See the Guest Rooms page for details. There is a $70 per day charge for each additional person in the room age thirteen or older.
- All rooms have a private bathroom, jacuzzi and fireplace (gas/duralogs) heating and air conditioning.
- Sorry, although we love them all we do not accommodate children under thirteen years old or pets.
Breakfast – is served in our dining room “the Conservatory” between 8:30 am and 9:30 am. We serve juice a parfait (fresh berries, yogurt and our homemade granola) and one entrée -we alternate between sweet and savory each day. If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know prior to your stay so we can be prepared.
Minimum Stays – A two-night reservation is generally required on weekends between June 1 and October 31. Sometimes a single Friday or Saturday night is available, please call us.
Check In – is from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
If you plan to arrive after this time, please notify us in advance so that we can provide information for an after-hours self-check-in. With advance notice we can sometimes accommodate an early check-in – please call to check with us.
Check Out – is before 11:00 am.
DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Deposits – Reservations are secured by a deposit of 50% of the total lodging cost with taxes. Balance is due upon check-in. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Cancellations – When given at least ten days’ notice of cancellation (the “cancellation period”), we will refund the deposit less a $35 per-room processing fee.
Deposits after the “cancellation period” will not be refunded but may be used toward another visit within twelve months. For no-shows, all monies paid will be forfeited.
Travel Insurance – is recommended. As a small inn, we require your commitment to your reservation. Reservations are accepted with the understanding that you will be financially responsible for the entire period reserved. We highly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance, available at a nominal cost from any travel agency or online at insuremytrip.com. These companies are independent and not affiliated with our inn. We cannot be responsible for illness, family emergencies, work conflicts, inclement weather, or cancelled flights.
Housekeeping – is available to 1 pm – please put the “Go Away” signs on your door in the morning if you do not require housekeeping.
Cleaning – We have always had a policy of cleanliness. We clean all frequently touched surfaces throughout the property and sanitize commonly used surfaces throughout the day such as doorknobs, handrails, tables, remote controls, lamp switches, etc. Hand sanitizers are available in our common areas.
Alcohol – The Inn at Ormsby Hill has a Vermont State License to sell wine and beer. State Law states that any alcohol consumed on the property is to be purchased from the inn. We provide glassware in your room.
Smoking – There is no smoking allowed in any guest rooms or the inn’s common spaces in compliance with Vermont State law. Non-compliance will result in a minimum surcharge equal to your single day rate. Please, for the comfort and benefit of all, no smoking in the Inn.
- Smoking is permitted in all exterior spaces, but please be considerate of others and avoid smoking near entryways and high traffic areas. Please dispose of your cigars/cigarettes.
Items left behind – For your privacy, we will not contact you if anything is left behind. We can have it shipped to you if you call to request its return. Our experience has been that the shipping can cost upwards of $20.00 which we will charge against your credit card on file.
Activities in Vermont – There is a lot to do in the area. We have a kiosk with brochures for various activities and we have posted blogs of some of the activities we recommend. Please feel free to ask us.
Booking the entire inn for a private event may be available depending on the date and availability. Our inn has 10 guest rooms with total capacity for 24 persons
Whole inn bookings are available for groups and special events such as weddings, reunions, workshops, retreats, and professional meetings. There may be additional space use fees should the property be used for activities or events outside of our typical breakfast service. Call the inn to discuss the possibility of booking the entire inn for your event.
